Contacts#

The contacts page allows you to see the contact details for the students.

Student Details#

You can see the students home address and date of birth in the student details section of the tab.

Contact Details#

Each of the student’s contacts is displayed within a card on the page and sorted by contact priority. This helps school staff to easily identify the contacts that they should be communicating with in an emergency. The first contact on the list is the first person you should try to get in touch with when you need to contact home.

Each contact card shows a number of pieces of information about each contact:

  • Name

    • The contact’s salutation is displayed.

  • Parental Responsibility

    • The hand holding icon in the top left corner of a contact’s card represents that this contact has parental responsibility for this student. This means that they can log in and see details of the student and that they are responsible for the student.

  • Profile Picture

    • The contact’s profile picture is displayed so you can make your communication more personal and be reminded of the person you’re speaking to.

  • Relationship to Student

    • The contact’s relationship to the student is displayed allowing you to understand who you’re speaking with more clearly.

Each contact can have 3 phone numbers, a home phone, a work phone and a mobile phone. A contact may have only a single number and possibly none at all on the schools record. One of the numbers on the contact’s account will be marked as their primary phone number, this is the number that will be shown with a star next to it in the card. When you need to get in touch with a contact you should use the primary number first before trying other contact methods.

Tip

You can see the other phone numbers on the contact’s account by clicking the show all button in their card.

Each contact can have 2 email addresses, a personal email and a work email. One of the email addresses on the contact’s account will be marked as their primary email address, this is the email that will be shown with a star next to it in the card. When you need to get in touch with a contact you should use the primary email first before trying other contact methods.

Tip

You can see the other email addresses on the contact’s account by clicking the show all button in their card.

Tip

The system will only use the primary email address when you use the communications functionality.

Tip

If you have permission to access other areas, there are some quick links available to let you impersonate the contact and to go to their profile pages to update information.
