Periods#
Periods are defined time slots of the school day that can be used throughout the system to make scheduling and timetabling relate to how the school operates.
Creating a Period#
You can create a new period by clicking the Periods option from the Configuration Lists section of the side menu. This will open the list of the currently configured periods.
Click the add button on the tables action bar to open the create view.
You must enter at least the following:
Days
The days of the week that this period appears on.
End Time
The time of day the period ends.
Name
The name of the period.
Show in Timetable
Whether the period should be displayed in the timetable or not.
Start Time
The time of day the period starts.
Teaching Period
Whether the period is a teaching period.
Once all of the information is correct, click the create button. You’ll be returned to the periods list and see a green popup message confirming the period was created.
Editing a Period#
To edit an existing period select the Periods option from the Configuration Lists section of the side menu. This will load the current list of periods.
To edit the period, click the corresponding checkbox and select the edit button from the tables action bar (or double click the row of the table). This will open the periods edit screen.
Update the required information and once updated click the save button to save the changes. You’ll be returned to the periods list and see a green popup message confirming the period was updated.
Deleting a Period#
To delete an existing period select the Periods option from the Configuration Lists section of the side menu. This will load the current list of periods.
Select the desired period by checking the corresponding checkbox and clicking the delete icon on the tables action bar. You’ll be asked to confirm the action before the periods are deleted.

The following permissions control access to the periods functionality:

Manage Periods
