Class Groups#

Class groups within the school are synced from SIMS if you have any module enabled. We sync both the group and the memberships to that group.

What Data is Imported#

The following details from the class group are imported, they are imported as user groups with a type of Class.

  • Description - Mapped to Description

  • ID - Mapped to Third Party ID (This field isn’t visible to users)

  • Name - Mapped to Name

  • Subject - The subject relating to the class group.

  • Year Group - The year group the class belongs to.

Tip

If a subject isn’t being synced with the system then no class that is assigned to that subject will be synced. If a class group is missing, you should first check to ensure that the subject meets the requirements for syncing and is present.

The following details of the group memberships are imported into the system, they are imported as group memberships to the created class group.

  • End Date - Mapped to the group membership end date

  • Start Date - Mapped to the group membership start date

  • User - Mapped to the user

The following details of the group supervisors are imported into the system, they are imported as group supervisors to the created class groups.
