Year To Date#
This tab is designed to show senior leaders at the school a picture of the attendance position at the school. It provides detailed and summarised information allowing school leaders to identify issues and intervene before they become more serious.
There are a number of sections within the report, each shows a different breakdown of attendance for the school. Each section includes the same breakdown of attendance marks but for different groups:
Group Name
The name of the group that the row of data relates to.
Students
The total number of students in the group with at least one attendance mark.
Present
The total number of present marks for the group.
Approved Educational Activity (AEA)
The total number of marks for a student being at an approved educational activity for the group.
Authorised Absences
The total number of authorised absence marks for the group.
Unauthorised Absences
The total number of unauthorised absence marks for the group.
Late Marks
The number of individual late marks that the student has received.
Possible Marks
The total number of marks that could have been recorded by the school for the group.
Attendance Percentage
The total attendance percentage for the group.
You can drill into the list of students for any of the groups to see the same detail but for the individual students. You can then use this information to see in more detail why the group may have a lower attendance percentage than expected. To do this, click the student icon on the right of the table row or click the number of students.
Tip
The attendance percentage column will be coloured based on the attendance thresholds configured by the school.
Absence By Year Group#
This section shows a breakdown of the attendance data by year group for the academic year.
Tip
You can drill into the year groups dashboard to see more detailed information about student attendance and other related factors that might effect the student’s attendance.
Absence By Form#
This section shows a breakdown of the attendance data by form group for the academic year to date.
Tip
You can drill into the form groups dashboard to see more detailed information about student attendance and other related factors that might effect the student’s attendance.
Absence By Ethnicity#
This section shows a breakdown of the attendance data by ethnic group for the academic year to date.
Absence By Free School Meal Status#
This section shows a breakdown of the attendance data by free school meal status group for the academic year to date.
Absence By Gender#
This section shows a breakdown of the attendance data by gender group for the academic year to date.
Absence By Looked After Status#
This section shows a breakdown of the attendance data by looked after status for the academic year to date.
Absence By SEN Provision#
This section shows a breakdown of the attendance data by their SEN provision for the academic year to date.
Tip
Any student that was on roll at any point during the academic year is included this analytics.
