Subject Access Requests#
A subject access request (SAR) is a request that an individual can make to the school to provide them with the information the school hold about them.
This becomes more important with the introduction of the UK GDPR regulation in May 2018. For more information and guidance about SARs refer to the ICO website
The system helps you to easily access the information held so that you (as the data controllers) can respond to any such SARs that you receive.
You can retrieve the information for a user by navigating to their edit user page and selecting the Subject Access Request option from the side menu.
Here you can select the category of information you would like to download and click the corresponding download data button to download the information as an XML file.
You can open an XML file in any text editor such as Notepad.
