Incident Outcome Types#

Incident outcome types are designed to allow tracking of outcomes of an incident. Some outcome types are managed by the system and cannot be changed or removed, others can be created and managed by the school for specific purposes.


Creating an Incident Outcome Type#

To create an incident outcome type click the Incident Outcome Type option from either the Incident or Configuration Lists sections of the side bar. This will open the current list of incident outcome types.

To add a new incident outcome type click the Add button from the tables action bar to open the create screen.

The following options are required:

  • Name

    • The name of the outcome, this is how you’ll identify it. (It must be unique)

  • Is Manual Completion Required

    • Does this outcome require that a member of staff manually tick a box to confirm that the outcome has been completed.

The following options are available:

  • Description

    • A description of the outcome.

Once the required fields are complete, click the create button to create the new incident outcome type. You’ll be redirected to the index screen again and see a green popup message letting you know the outcome type was created successfully.


Editing an Existing Incident Outcome Type#

To edit an incident outcome type click the Incident Outcome Type option from either the Incident or Configuration Lists sections of the side bar. This will open the current list of incident outcome types.

Edit an incident outcome type by selecting the corresponding checkbox on the left of the row and clicking the edit button in the tables action bar, or by double clicking the row in the table. This will open the edit screen for the incident outcome type.

Tip

This list contains both system and your custom outcome types, you won’t be able to edit or delete system managed outcome types.

You can edit any of the information about the outcome type you need to by changing the relevant fields in the screen. Be sure to click save when you’ve finished so the details are updated. Once saved you’ll be redirected to the index screen again and see a green popup message letting you know the outcome type was updated successfully.


Deleting an Incident Outcome Type#

To delete an incident outcome type click the Incident Outcome Type option from either the Incident or Configuration Lists sections of the side bar. This will open your current list of incident outcome types.

Delete an incident outcome type by selecting the corresponding checkbox on the left of the row and clicking the delete button in the tables action bar. You’ll be asked to confirm your choice before the outcome type is deleted.

Once deleted the outcome type will be removed from the index screen and a green popup message will confirm it was deleted successfully.
