My Consent#
The school may choose to request your consent for various activities such as a form of data processing or other general consent. You’re free to provide and/or withdraw consent, at any time, as you see fit.
How Do The School Request Consent?#
If the school would like to request your consent for an activity they’ll add a request to your account.
This will trigger an email to be sent your registered email address telling you that they would like your consent. All you need to do is click the link in the email, log in and either approve or deny the consent request.
Tip
You can update this preference at any time by navigating to your My Account section and selecting the Consent option.
Can I Change My Mind?#
Absolutely!
You’re free to update your consent preferences at any time, by logging in and navigating to your My Account section.
Once here you can select the Consent option and update the options as you desire.
Types of Consent#
There are 2 types of consent that may be recorded on your account. Online consent, is the one described above where a notification/email will be sent and you can approve it online. File based consent is another way for the school to add any consent you provide to them to your online record. These are usually a consent/permission slip at the bottom of an associated letter. You would return this to the school and they may choose to record it so that all of your consent is in a central location. If the school uploads the consent you can also withdraw this consent via your account without the need to contact the school.
Tip
If you remove a file consent record and later wish to consent to that activity again, you’ll need to contact the school to request the consent is re-activated.
